Is God Eternal?
Children have a tendency to ask simple yet interesting questions.
Like, “How old is God?” Or “Who made God?”
How will we answer their questions? Where can we find the answers?

The Constant Church of God presents clear answers to your questions, directly from the Bible!
In the Bible, God says He inhabits eternity.
What is eternity?
Eternity is a difficult concept for us flesh and blood humans to grasp because we are subject to time.
We can understand time because it is physical.
We are born, we age, and we die. Time is temporary.
Eternity is forever. It has nothing to do with time.
That’s why people often ask, “Where did God come from? How old is God? Is God eternal?”
The book of Genesis says that God created the heavens and the earth.
So God has always existed, even prior to creation.
In the Psalms, King David said, God exists from everlasting to everlasting. From eternity to eternity.
God is not old or young. He does not age. Having neither beginning of days, nor end of life.
He is Eternal.
Eternal is a spiritual plane of existence; a dimension beyond the physical.
God is spirit. We are matter, made from the dust of the ground.
Have you ever wondered if you could possibly become eternal like God is?
Of all the creatures He has created, God says only human beings are being fashioned and molded into the God kind.
From the very beginning, God purposed to make mankind in His own image and His own likeness.
And He will fulfill HIS purpose.
He is training us now, preparing us in this physical life to qualify to enter into eternal existence.
When Christ returns to set up His Kingdom on the earth, we will at that time enter into eternity by a resurrection.
We shall be changed. In the twinkling of an eye.
And we will become spirit beings.
Transformed from mortal to immortal.
From that time on, we will also be eternal just as God is eternal.
Such is the awesome magnitude of God’s promise which we can all look forward to receiving!
