Is There a Way of Escape?

God promises protection and safety from the time of extreme trouble that will come upon the whole earth. Will you be among those protected and kept safe?

Transcript:

The Constant Church of God presents clear answers to your questions, directly from the Bible!

Prophecy clearly records what Jesus Christ Himself said about a soon-coming time of unprecedented trouble, turmoil and mayhem that will engulf the WHOLE earth.

The great tribulation.

That time of Satan’s wrath, when he unleashes a vicious, ferocious and brutal persecution of God’s Church.

But God reassures HIS Church — the one true Church He founded on the day of Pentecost 31 AD — that HE will deliver them, that He will protect them from Satan’s wrath; and, that He will make a way for them to escape this time of untold trouble and horrific persecution that is going to grip the entire earth and bring the rest of humanity to the very brink of complete annihilation.

Open your Bibles and turn to Luke chapter 21.

These are Christ’s sobering words to this present generation. This end time generation. OUR generation.

He is talking to you. Listening to this podcast.

These are not my words.

These are the words Jesus Christ Himself spoke.

Notice Luke 21 and verse 33.

33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. . .”

He is telling you and me, “Don’t get all caught up with the cares of this world. This corrupt, ungodly society.”

You can count on God to deliver HIS people from that time of trouble never before seen.  And, for sure, He will keep His promise.

So then, HOW will God deliver us from these fast-approaching dreadful things?

Turn to Revelation chapter 12 and verse 14 to see what the Bible says.

14 But the woman [symbolic of the one, true Church of God] was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time [that is, three and a half years], from the presence of the serpent [representing Satan the devil].

And so, many believe God will transport His Church by means of an airplane. It’s entirely possible.

But notice Exodus chapter 19 and verse 4.

4 You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.

God brought Israel out of Egypt on two wings of an eagle as well.

Obviously, they did not hop on an airplane from a Cairo Airport.

That does not necessarily mean that God’s Church is going to fly into the wilderness in an airplane.

Other than what God tells us here very explicitly — by two wings of an eagle — the Bible does not tell us HOW exactly.

What we do know FOR SURE is God will take care of HIS Church because we’re very precious to Him!

And so, we put our full faith, trust and confidence in Him.

And when the time comes, HE will tell us HOW.

Now then, WHERE are we going to fly off to?

Once again, only God knows. And He does not tell us EXACTLY WHERE that WHERE is.

Here’s what we do know, directly from the Bible.

Revelation 12 and verse 14 says, “. . .that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place. . .”

The Bible says the wilderness.

A wilderness is a barren, desolate, deserted place.

A wasteland.

For three and a half years, we’re going to be in this rough, harsh, difficult environment.

The wilderness will not have the creature comforts that we’ve been accustomed to.

A comfortable bed or running water. A refrigerator with cold drinks.

Food may not be plentiful or the kind we’re used to — no grocery stores; no fast food restaurants — but God will provide for our needs.

It’s not going to be a time of leisure and pleasure.

It won’t be easy.

But, it will be a place of protection from Satan and those he uses to attack and do harm to God’s Church.

WHERE that isolated, desolated uninhabited wilderness will be, the Bible does not tell us. So, we don’t go any further than what the Bible says.

We have looked at the HOW and the WHERE.

Now let’s keep going and find out WHO will be accounted worthy to escape.

Turn to Revelation chapter 3 and verse 10.

10 Because you have kept My command to persevere I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

To persevere means to patiently endure.

Those who demonstrate their willingness to patiently endure, remain steadfast to God’s truth NOW, even under the most intense pressure to conform, will be protected from that time of tribulation unlike anything the world has ever seen.

And that involves living God's way fully NOW.

That means we endure whatever hardship, whatever deprivation, for the sake of God’s truth.

With an attitude of intense zeal and total commitment from the heart.

It involves walking with God each and every day!

It has to do with how we live our lives; making right choices and right decisions even under pressure to choose the wrong.

That means adding one layer of character on top of another layer.

It requires repenting and changing and yielding.

Growing and overcoming.

Drawing close to God each and every day by heartfelt prayer and diligent study of the Bible.

To those who will obey Him, surrender unconditionally to Him, make that the overriding, governing principle in their lives, God makes a solemn promise that those individuals — and ONLY those individuals — will be accounted worthy to escape the horrendous times that are certain to come very soon now.
