Is the Bible the inspired word of God?

HOW can we be sure that the Bible is indeed the inspired word of God in print?

Bible prophecy is the source of authoritative proof that God — and only God — CAN and DOES foretell the future.

Of kings and empires.

Of world events.

In the book of Isaiah, God specifically declared that  a man named Cyrus — the first ruler of the Persian Empire — would capture the seemingly impregnable city of Babylon.

What simply astounds historians and scholars alike is that God’s prophecy about this man Cyrus was recorded some 200 years in advance by the prophet Isaiah!

Cyrus was able to capture the city without any resistance by diverting the waters of the Euphrates, which flowed through the city.

With the river lowered, the Persian army made its way undetected into the city through these two leaved gates that the overconfident Babylonian guards had left unlocked.

As King Belshazzar was celebrating a festival with his cronies, Cyrus’ soldiers took them by surprise and killed them.

And so, in 539 BC, the Babylonian Empire under Belshazzar was toppled, and the Medo-Persian Empire of Cyrus became the reigning superpower of that time.

Precisely as prophesied about 200 years earlier.

Bible critics have tried to discredit this prophecy in a vain and futile effort to invalidate what the Bible says and cast doubt on the existence of the God Who spoke it.

But this prophecy is evidence that the Bible is inspired by God, Who — and ONLY WHO — can bring prophecy to pass.

Fulfilled prophecy is PROOF that the Bible is inspired by God Almighty!

Only HE knows the future.

Only the living God has the power to intervene over the centuries and fulfill every one of His prophecies!

The Bible contains revealed knowledge from the Creator of the entire universe.

The Great God Who knows the end from the beginning provides us with the surest prophecy of all: the soon-coming return of Jesus Christ Who will usher in unprecedented peace, prosperity and joy in the Kingdom of God!
