What Is Man's Ultimate Destiny?
In his speech before a joint session of the United States Congress, Sir Winston Churchill said,”. . . some great purpose and design is being worked out here below.”

The Constant Church of God presents clear answers to your questions, directly from the Bible!
As a young shepherd boy, King David spent many a night in the hills of Judea tending to his father’s sheep.
And he would gaze up at the night sky, and he would see all of those stars.
And he wondered, “What is man that You, God, are so mindful of Him?”
David realized there must be a purpose, a reason WHY God created man.
What great purpose is God working out here on the earth?
The Bible gives the answer to that fundamental, basic question of WHY we were born.
WHY are we here?
The most vital question of life; yet the one most people think about the least.
God created the human family for a very great PURPOSE!
An incredibly grand purpose most professing Christians pay very little attention to.
A purpose that the leaders and scholars of traditional Christianity have missed entirely.
A purpose so stunning, it defies ALL human imagination.
And yet, it is the most exciting, most inspiring, most uplifting truth ever revealed.
Don’t believe me.
Open your Bibles and read it for yourselves.
Please turn to Genesis chapter 2 and verse 7.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
A living being.
We did not evolve from some lower form of species like the ape.
God created man.
He created man for a purpose.
He always does things for a reason.
And for what purpose did God create man?
You will find the answer in Genesis chapter 1 and verse 26.
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . .”
Shocking though it may be, the Bible says God intends to make you and me in the very image and likeness that He has.
And what does God look like?
Turn to Revelation chapter 1 and verse 14.
Describing Jesus Christ in His glorified condition.
14 his head and his hair were white as white wool, white as snow; his eyes were like a flame of fire,
15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters;
16 in his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth issued a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.
So God has a face, a head, hair, eyes, feet, hands, a mouth.
Just like we have.
But God is spirit (John 4:24), and we are mortal flesh.
So, HOW can we possibly become spirit as God is?
In scripture after scripture —— both in the Old and New Testaments —— God says that we will all be changed.
Changed to what?
Turn to Job chapter 14 and look at verse 14.
14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
Now please turn to 1st Corinthians chapter 15 and verse 51.
The apostle Paul wrote about the same change.
And he sought to attain that change, that transformation by any means.
It was of such absolute importance and immense value to him he was prepared to do whatever he had to do to achieve it.
Verse 51.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep [meaning we shall not all die] but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, [in a split second], in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Man’s ultimate destiny then is to become IMMORTAL SPIRIT like God is.
When the last trumpet sounds —— the seventh trumpet announcing the triumphant return of Jesus Christ —— WE SHALL BE CHANGED —— INSTANTLY —— by a resurrection from the dead.
At that time, we will become God as God is God.
But, God will always be supreme in authority.
We will always be subordinate to God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
We will become, as the chief apostle Peter wrote, “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4).
God is the great Master Potter, and we are His clay.
He will shape, fashion and mold our lives into HIS own image and likeness.
The same perfect, holy righteous character He has.
And we will then become the crowning masterpiece of His creative power!
Immortal, spirit beings just like God is!
That is the majestic purpose God has for mankind.
A purpose so incredible, so magnificent, so grand it is utterly astonishing.
But it is real.
God says it will happen.
He will accomplish HIS purpose (Isaiah 55:11).
Psalms chapter 82 and verse 6 confirms our incredible potential.
6 I say, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;”
That is WHY God created us!
That is WHY we were born.
That is WHY we are here.
That is OUR ultimate destiny!
