The Constant Church of God presents clear answers to your questions, directly from the Bible!
In the fifth chapter of the book of Revelation, the apostle John in a vision sees a scroll sealed with seven seals.
Only Jesus Christ was able to open that scroll and explain what it said.
Beginning in chapter 6 and verse 2, John sees a white horse with a rider armed with a bow who went out to conquer.
And then, in verse 4, John saw a red horse.
And its rider was given a great sword and power to take peace from the land.
After that, verse 5, John saw a black horse.
And its rider had a pair of balances — or weighing scales — in his hands.
And then finally, verse 8, John saw a pale horse.
The name of the rider was Death, and billions perished.
And power was given to these four horsemen to kill one-fourth of the earth with war, famine and disease epidemics.
What does all this mean?
Jesus Christ reveals the true meaning of these four mysterious horsemen.
Whom so many have called the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
Or more accurately the four horsemen of Revelation.
These four horses and their riders are symbols.
And only Jesus Christ can interpret the meaning of these four horsemen.
And Christ’s explanation is revealed in Matthew chapter 24, beginning in verse 1.
1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
2 But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down.”
Jesus had just prophesied about the destruction of the temple in 70 AD by the Roman armies.
Later on, at the Mount of Olives, the disciples approach Jesus Christ privately to ask Him these questions.
WHEN shall these things be?
WHAT shall be the sign of Your coming?
And, WHAT shall be the sign of the end of this world?
So now, Christ starts to answer their questions.
Matthew chapter 24 and verse 4.
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
False ministers teaching that Jesus was the Christ — the Redeemer, the Savior — and yet deceiving the many!
That was the first seal: the white horse.
Today, there are more false prophets and more false ministers than ever before.
Preaching and teaching the doctrines of men which are the exact opposite of what the Bible actually teaches!
That first seal is being fulfilled right now, all around us, everywhere.
Notice now, what Christ says about the second seal: the red horse.
Matthew chapter 24 and verse 6.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
Jesus prophesies MANY wars on the earth.
Major wars. Regional conflicts. Civil wars.
A condition of war that would continue from His day to our day today.
Escalating into nuclear, biological warfare and other destructive weapons.
Finally, culminating in world war threatening to wipe out all of mankind.
And what usually follows war is famine.
And that’s the third seal pictured by the black horse.
The land becomes a polluted, desolate wasteland.
Crops are damaged.
Water supplies contaminated.
Livestock destroyed.
Take note that Jesus refers to FAMINES. Plural.
Many recurring instances of famine over the centuries.
Culminating in a GREAT, unprecedented time of famine — a MAJOR scarcity of food — just before His return!
Then comes the fourth seal, the pale horse of PESTILENCES.
Disease epidemics of such deadly and widespread intensity.
PANDEMICS!
The death toll from all four of these horsemen will be “the fourth part of the earth.”
A staggering TWO BILLION or more people will die.
This is not a fear-mongering, doom-and-gloom message.
These are not MY words.
This is God speaking.
He means what He says, and He says what He means.
Now turn to Matthew chapter 24 and verse 8.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
What we are witnessing is merely the very beginning of the greatest time of tragedy and human suffering ever experienced by mankind on this earth.
The beginning of catastrophic and devastating curses that are about to befall mankind.
And more is coming.
As a loving father chastens his children, God is going to correct all of mankind.
He is going to get as stern and as tough as necessary for the good of everyone.
But you do not have to go through that time of excruciating pain that is sure to come upon the whole world.
“REPENT,” God says.
And if you obey Him and do what He says, He promises that you will be accounted worthy to escape the horrendous times that are certain to come.
