From the very beginning, God ordained an exciting, astounding, utterly amazing incredible potential for every human being He created.

In Genesis chapter 1, we read that God created animals after their kind.

Fish after the fish kind.

Birds after the bird kind.

But God created humans after the God kind!

Please turn to Genesis chapter 1 and verse 26.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

So the Bible plainly states that God created man to become gods as God is God. But God the Father and Jesus Christ would always be superior.

Skeptics will say, “That’s not possible.”

But it is true because God Himself said so.

And I can prove it.

Open your Bible and turn to John chapter 10 and read verse 34.

34 Jesus answered them [the leaders of the Jews], “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, You are gods’”?

And yet, many people — in fact, the vast majority — have decided to interpret this simple, straightforward three-word declaration “You are gods” into anything and everything except what it actually says.

They say Jesus meant “You are holy people;” or “righteous judges;” “sons by adoption;” and, so on.

ANYTHING but what Christ Himself said.

And what did He say?

YOU ARE GODS!

God means what He says, and He says what He means.

So then, it’s going to happen. For sure.

Still, there will be those who will say, “How can that be? God is spirit. And humans are physical.”

That is true.

However, the Bible says a change, a transformation is coming at the return of Jesus Christ.

The dead in Christ will be resurrected.

Changed from mortal flesh to immortal spirit.

No longer physical but spirit.

Others will say, “This sounds too good to be true.”

But it is true.

Notice what the apostle Paul was inspired by God to write, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

It is incredible. Beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.

But it will happen!

Read it for yourself in 1st Corinthians chapter 15 and verse 44.

44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

What did Paul mean a spiritual body?

In Revelation chapter 1, beginning in verse 13, John has this vision of the glorified Jesus Christ.

With a body.

With a head and hair. Eyes. Hands and feet. With a mouth that speaks.

He has similar features like we do. But now in His glorified state, only made of spirit.

And that’s what we’re going to be like when we, too, are resurrected to spirit.

Changed instantaneously from physical flesh to immortal spirit.

In the twinkling or the blinking of an eye.

What will it be like when we’re spirit beings?

With a spirit body?

There are so many scriptures we can turn to, but we will look at a few examples.

Turn to Matthew chapter 5 and verse 48.

48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Our decisions and judgments will be flawless. Our words and our thoughts pure and clean and holy.

Our conduct above any reproach or rebuke.

Our motives upright and honorable; desiring only the best for those we have rule over.

Exercising loving leadership.

Serving and helping them come to the full knowledge of the truth.

We will have perfect minds.

Minds that can devise the best and finest plans and projects that will enhance the well-being of others and contribute to the development of God’s very character in others.

We will be perfect, holy, right and good in every way at the highest level.

Just think of those things we can do to help others so they, too, can eventually enjoy what we have.

Another example is in Revelation chapter 21 and verse 4.

4 . . .there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

There is physical pain that we all have gone through.

Crippling, wasting, energy-draining, life-sapping sickness and disease, robbing individuals of happy and fulfilling lives.

Then there is emotional and mental pain. Anguish, distress, sorrow and depression.

But when we become spirit beings, we will not experience ANY KIND of pain whatsoever.

No more sickness or disease.

No more suffering.

Sorrow? No more!

For all eternity.

We will never get tired. Weak. Exhausted or experience fatigue.

No more handicaps or limitations because we will have tremendous supernatural POWER.

Just like Christ has.

As powerful spirit beings, we will be able to manifest ourselves as humans.

Like Jesus Christ did in Luke chapter 24, verses 36 and 37.

We can share a meal with our loved ones, and they will recognize us and enjoy the occasion together with us.

We can pass through walls, walk on water control the weather.

And to make it absolutely and indisputably clear, notice that after Christ declared “YOU are GODS!” He emphasized “and the scripture cannot be broken."

He is making it absolutely clear to every man, woman and child that the ultimate purpose of human life is to become God-Beings.

If we stay obedient and loyal to God, diligently and zealously strive to be as Christ is, we will be joint heirs with Jesus Christ to a grand, majestic inheritance as glorified God-Beings in the Kingdom of God.

How wonderful eternity will be!
