Will Christ Return?
Is the return of Jesus Christ merely some theological theory? A fabricated event by misguided religious fanatics?

The Constant Church of God presents clear answers to your questions, directly from the Bible!
The return of Jesus Christ is a foundational teaching of traditional Christianity.
Today, however, only 32% of Catholics, 27% of Protestants and 20% of those religious unaffiliated believe Christ will come back to the earth.
What does the Bible say?
Will Christ return?
In the book of Acts chapter 1 and verse 9, the Bible gives us this firm promise that Jesus Christ will indeed come back to this earth.
Jesus is commanding His disciples to remain in Jerusalem, leaving them with the promise of His Holy Spirit.
Verse 9
9 And when he [Jesus Christ] had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men [angels in human form] stood by them in white robes,
11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
Over the centuries, many have tried to pinpoint the exact date of Christ’s return.
After a lot of fanfare and hoopla, all of their predictions, all of their speculations have failed.
As a result, many have grown skeptical and no longer expect Christ to come back.
Here is what Peter the chief apostle wrote in 2nd Peter Chapter 3 and verse 3.
3 First of all you must understand this, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own passions
4 and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation.”
And so, a sizable segment of the professing Christian community is beginning to question why they should even focus all of their hopes in Jesus Christ or expect Him to be the final answer to all their problems.
But to those who believe God and take Him at His word, the return of Jesus Christ to establish the Kingdom of God right here on the earth is a biblically-supported reality.
The Bible contains numerous references — plain, irrefutable, straightforward scriptures — concerning the return of Jesus Christ.
Don’t believe me.
Open your Bibles and see for yourselves what God Himself says.
Here are a few that you can check out.
Turn to Psalms chapter 96 and look at verse 13.
13 . . .for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his truth.
Isaiah Chapter 40 and verse 10 is another one.
10 Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.
Micah chapter 1 and read verse 3.
3 For behold, the Lord is coming forth out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.
Christ did not fulfill these Old Testament prophecies when He came the first time.
But He will certainly fulfill them all when He returns in great splendor and awesome power.
Many modern critics will say, “That's Old Testament stuff. We’re new covenant Christians.”
Here are some of the explicit and irrefutable New Testament scriptures that speak about the return of Jesus Christ:
Matthew chapter 16 and verse 27.
27 For the Son of man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay every man for what he has done.
Matthew chapter 24 and verse 30.
30 then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory;
But exactly WHEN will Christ return?
Turn to Mark chapter 13 and read verse 32.
Here is Christ’s precise, specific, indisputable statement.
Verse 32.
32 But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
No man knows!
The angels do not know.
Christ Himself said He does not know.
Only the Father knows.
Therefore, man’s efforts to determine that day and that time are nothing but pure guesswork.
But we know it’s going to happen.
It isn’t wishful thinking.
Neither is it some fantasy.
It will happen.
God says it will.
In Revelation chapter 11, verse 15, the apostle John had this vision of the returning Jesus Christ.
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
The return of Jesus Christ is the surest prophecy of all!!!
It is not the product of euphoric imaginings by deluded followers.
It involves no dates; nor the linguistic mastery of Greek or Hebrew.
It does not require specialized knowledge of Babylonian or Egyptian chronologies.
We won't need to memorize dates for the creation or Noah's Flood or the Exodus out of Egypt.
Nor do we need to devise sophisticated mathematical formulas to calculate the ages of the patriarchs, the fall of Babylon or the rule of Artaxerxes.
What we will need, what we must have is that real, living faith OF Jesus Christ in us.
The faith to OBEY Him.
Willingly yield to Him.
Unconditionally surrender to His will.
And eagerly DO what He tells us to do!
